"No Trespassing" Signs Some of our residents have requested additional legal protection for their property. The ARC approved the installation of "No Trespassing" signs for individual properties. The approved sign matches the style and color with other signs in the community. The dimensions for the sign are 12" x 24" and must be mounted on a white 4" x 4" wood or vinyl post. The top of the sign cannot exceed 24" from the ground. The sign should be purchased from Stonetree Signs & Graphics, 5321 New Hope Road, Denton, NC 27239 (336)-625-0938. The cost of the sign is $150.

Boat Ramp Extension The HBHOA has approved dredging and extension of the boat ramp to provide continuous operation even during low-water drought conditions. Work must be done when lake levels are low, and should begin when low-level conditions next occur. Check out the detailed plans on this page.
Fire Ant Information Fire Ants are sweeping the nation - from California to as far north as Kansas and Maryland - and have reached parts of North Carolina. If you (or someone you know) has them, click here for professional tips for dealing with fire ants.
Lake Level Update For the past 50 years, Badin Lake has typically operated within three feet of full pond (except during drought conditions), making it a great place for boating, fishing, skiing, tubing and more. For the latest lake levels and trends, please click here.
No Open Burn Policy A strict "No Open Burn" policy has been in effect since 1994 due to the high risk of fire in Heron Bay. There is a mandatory $250 fine - per occurence - for an open wood, leaf or other non-contained fire. Please help us preserve the beauty and safety of our neighborhood - PLEASE DON'T BURN!
25 MPH - Safety First! Please be aware that Heron Bay has a 25 MPH speed limit. With winding roads, hills and blind corners, a growing number of residents, visitors, and pets, abundant deer and wildlife, and frequent service vehicles - safety is our utmost concern. Please ask your guests and visitors to be extra careful while visiting. If you're building a home, please make sure your builder and subcontractors to observe the posted speed limit signs. Thank you!
